We get used to the dark
gradually when the light has disappeared before our eyes, as when the neighbor
holding the lamp,
witness his farewell.
For a moment uncertain path,
the novelty of the night envelops us,
Then the vision suits
shadows standing on the path and move forward. So it is in darkness
largest,
on those nights when
of our minds to reveal a sign there is no moon, no star lies within or
soul.
The more daring go a bit 'groping,
and sometimes banging his head against a tree,
direct hit.
But as soon as they learn to see
or darkness is no longer the same, or something
adjusts to the appropriate visa at night,
and life goes almost straight.
